Our Story
Innovative Electric VA is a Class A electrical contracting firm built on more than 30 years of combined experience in Central Virginia. We are fully licensed and insured, certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia (EVA), and recognized as a SWaM (Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned) certified business. Our commitment is simple: to provide reliable, precise, and superior electrical service across the entire state, with a dedicated focus on Central Virginia.
Our Partnership
Our company culture is rooted in the founders’ unique backgrounds. Innovative Electric is a partnership founded by Devin Burkett and Patrick Hertzler. Devin is a Chesterfield native, is a master electrician, 10 year Army veteran and combat vet OEF 14. Patrick is a graduate of Virginia Tech where he received a BS in residential property management with a minor in real estate. This ensures every project is approached with unyielding attention to detail and structured processes. For our clients, this means all wiring, installation, and code compliance are handled with precision and accountability.
What we do
Our expertise covers all facets of the electrical industry, specializing in Commercial, Residential, and Government projects. We partner with general contractors to fulfill all electrical requirements on Custom New Builds and High-End Remodels.
We are a Licensed and Insured Generac Dealer & Installer, ensuring reliable backup power solutions. We work closely with government and general contractors for VDOT projects and have extensive experience with the Department of Military Affairs on 50+ projects to fulfill complex electrical needs.
